Statement of Support: I encourage the Commonwealth Transportation Board and Virginia’s Passenger Rail Authority to work in partnership with the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation to purchase 48.5 miles of the historic Manassas Gap Railroad, currently owned by Norfolk Southern, construct a historic multi-use trail, and preserve the existing rail infrastructure for future use.
