Historical Publications LLC

History Is Waiting.
Come Explore.

Nine websites for artifacts, collecting, research, Civil War history, military antiques, events, artillery, our magazines, and the people who keep history alive.

START EXPLORING

Welcome to our online historical network

If you collect Civil War artifacts, study military antiques, follow battlefield preservation, chase down what a relic is really worth, or just enjoy learning something you did not know yesterday, we have been busy building something for you.

Historical Publications LLC now publishes a family of nine websites. Search artifacts offered by dealers and auction houses. Research what comparable relics have sold for. Find a trusted dealer. Look up a projectile or a fuze. Locate a show, a tour, or a living-history program near you. Read half a century of Civil War News back articles — every word of them, free — or the current issue of Military Antique Collector.

There is a great deal to discover here, so come in and have a good time.

One network, nine front doors

Read an article in the Civil War News archive → look up what that kind of piece has been selling for on Relics of War → see who has one for sale on Artifact Search → find the dealer on Civil War Dealers → then go handle it in person at a show you found on Civil War Events. The sites are built to work that way, and every one of them is free to browse.

The websites

Nine places to spend an afternoon

ArtifactSearch.com home page — military antiques and militaria search website

Search & Discovery

Artifact Search

ArtifactSearch.com

One search box for the militaria market. Artifact Search indexes current inventory from dozens of vetted dealers and auction companies — Colonial era through Vietnam, with Civil War material at its heart — alongside more than 17,000 recorded sold prices. It is also a free research library: identification guides for belt plates, buttons, and bullets, a collector glossary, a firearms reference, guidance on spotting reproductions, and a state-by-state directory of historic sites, museums, and battlefields.

Collector Research

Relics of War

RelicsOfWar.com

What is your relic worth? This is the price guide: what belt plates, buckles, buttons, firearms, swords, photographs, and accoutrements have actually brought at auction and private sale, with condition and markings noted so the comparison means something. Free identification guides sit beside the numbers — including how to spot the reproductions.

Search by keyword, then narrow by author, column, year, or issue.

More than 870 pages, plus a glossary of ordnance terms.
