The Mount Jackson Museum, located in the visitor center building, offers an impressive collection of relics from Mount Jackson’s days gone by. Volunteers are on hand to offer their knowledge of the history that has taken place in this wonderful community.

This museum is dedicated to the historic preservation of Mount Jackson and surrounding areas. The beautiful visitor’s center where the museum is located was opened and dedicated in 2003. The museum has many exhibits including a Civil War Exhibit featuring items collected by the late D. Coiner Rosen, a quilt made and signed by Mrs. Anna Wayland (Dr. John Wayland’s mother) pottery from local folk artist Bill Landis, and wooden handicrafts from Bird Haven, a local community of wood turners in the early 1900s.
