Second Winchester Anniversary Programs

The Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation presents a day of programs commemorating the June 13-15, 1863, Second Battle of Winchester including:

10am-on:  Living History and Encampment on Court House Lawn, including the story of Union prisoners after the battle.
4pm:  “Second Winchester: Opening the Road to Gettysburg”: Program with Keven Walker (inside Court House Museum)
6:30pm:  History in Action: Court House Museum – a fun-filled program for kids that will combine an Amazing Race-type competition, puzzle-solving, mini-games, and a scavenger hunt – with competitors racing from station to station to win prizes.
8:00pm:  Lantern Walking Tour of Downtown Winchester (starts in front of Court House Museum)

All programs are free and will be held inside and on the lawn of the Old Court House Civil War Museum, 20 N. Loudon St., Winchester.  For more information, call 540-740-4545 or email info@svbf.net.
