End of Year Tax Strategies

To support our mission of preserving our nation’s hallowed ground, we ask that you consider us in your year-end giving for 2017.  (And please note that, although nothing is official, the passage of the proposed tax bill could make gifts in 2017 more tax advantageous than those in 2018 and beyond.)  There are various ways you can make a charitable gift to support battlefield preservation – lowering your tax bill while helping the greater good.

Battlefield preservation is seldom easy, but it is always a fight worth fighting.  We are asking you to join that fight; We are asking you to become a Member of the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation.  We are recognized as one of the most effective battlefield preservation organizations in the nation, and an enormous part of that effectiveness is due to the support and participation of our members.

Dedicate Your Donation

Make a donation in memory, in honor, or in celebration of a friend, family member, or a passed loved one. Donations can also be made in honor of fallen soldiers that fought in the Shenandoah Valley during the Civil War.

Legion of Honor (Legacy Giving)

Make battlefield preservation your legacy today! Your decision to make battlefield preservation part of a lasting mission is easier than you think. Your commitment ensures that the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation retains its role in the lives of future generations by preserving the hallowed lands of the American Civil War. Your charitable bequest will not only provide a collective commitment to foster and promote preserving battlefields in the Shenandoah Valley, but it will also conserve, in perpetuity, the sacred lands that our forefather’s fought so passionately to protect.
