This historic house took thirty years to completely finish in the 1840’s.
Long Branch consists of elaborately designed and refurbished Greek Revival style. Its outside was designed off of the classical principles of Henry Latrobe, the architect of the Capitol. The land was surveyed with the help of a young George Washington. The furniture in the Manor today is from the 18th and 19th Centuries and is wonderfully preserved and displayed.
