Civil War Trails sign on the Wartime story of the “cross-roads town”.

The Town of Front Royal had fewer than 600 residents at the time of the Civil War, yet its position in the Shenandoah Valley was at a vital point during the campaigns that ravaged the land.  What businesses there were, were not in operation by the end of the war.  Today Front Royal thrives as it remains the heart of Warren County.
