Civil War trails sign that interpretes Stonewall Jacksons movement out of the Shenandoah Valley along this road in November 1862.  This would be the last time Jackson would ever see the Valley.

On November 24, 1862, Jackson moved across Page County towards Fishers Gap as he was joining the main body of the Army of Northern Virginia near Fredericksburg, Virginia.  Jackson would be killed the following spring at the Battle of Chancellorsville and only then would he return to the Valley.
