Nearly fifty Confederate soldiers are buried at this location, including those who were killed in battle.

It is believed that the cemetery was founded in the early 1880’s and it contains the final resting place for nearly fifty Confederate soldiers.  Additionally, in section six, a “slave graveyard” is part of the plots and it is designated with a stone marker.
