Thank you for your interest in using the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation’s (SVBF’s) property. The battlefields and historic sites owned and managed by the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation are preserved and protected because of their historic significance.  Many individuals, groups and organizations request permission to use SVBF sites and facilities. To process and review these requests all event organizers are required to complete our special use permit application.  A “special use” is defined as any use of SVBF battlefields or historic sites other than individual site seeing, touring, and recreation from dawn to dusk in areas open to the general public.  All property owned by the SVBF is PRIVATE property and the SVBF has the right to deny any request. With that said, the SVBF preserves these sites for the enjoyment of the public and will make every effort to accommodate your request. The SVBF will  respond to all requests for a special use permit within 5 business days. All applications will be responded to whether the application is approved or denied.
