(Wednesday, March 20, 2019, 7:30 pm)

Edwin Michael L. Jordan, will present “Savannah’s ‘First Yankee Tourists’ plus other hidden wonders of the Civil War.” Savannah, Georgia is known to Civil War aficionados primarily as the spot where Union General William T. Sherman ended his “March to the Sea,” presenting the city as a Christmas gift to President Lincoln in December 1865. But this time-worn tale obscures a wealth of much more fascinating events that took place in the city between 1861 and 1865. Michael will explore fascinating stories included in his book, Hidden History of Civil War Savannah.
