Join Shenandoah University’s McCormick Civil War Institute this autumn – the most beautiful time of the year in the Shenandoah Valley – to explore the seldom-studied Battle of Milford (Overall’s Run) fought on September 22, 1864, and its significance within the broader context of operations in the Shenandoah Valley in the autumn of 1864. Additionally, the tour will explore the events and issues of historical memory surrounding the execution of men from Col. John S. Mosby’s command in Front Royal the following day.
