Join Shenandoah University’s McCormick Civil War Institute for its spring 2018 Perspectives in the Civil War Era Lecture Series on Wednesday, March 28, at 7 p.m. featuring Dr. Heather Butts of Columbia University. Dr. Butts will discuss Healing the Capital During the Civil War Era: African American Medicine in Washington, D.C. Copies of her most recent book African American Medicine in Washington, D.C.: Healing the Capital During the Civil War Era will be available for purchase.  The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Halpin-Harrison Hall, Stimpson Auditorium.
