This year’s annual meeting of the Shenandoah Valley Battlefield Foundation will be held at sites on the historic Cedar Creek battlefield during the battlefield’s 151st Anniversary commemorative weekend.
The meeting will be part of a day-long series of SVBF programs, which will include a guided tour of the battlefield (10am), two major preservation announcements, a reception (6pm), and the meeting itself (7pm), featuring special guest speaker Dr. James I. “Bud” Robertson, Jr. The meeting will also include a look back at the SVBF’s accomplishments during 2015 and a preview of the ambitious plans for 2016 by SVBF CEO Keven Walker, as well as the presentation of the Foundation’s prestigious annual awards: the Carrington Williams Preservation Award, Volunteer of the Year Award, Chairman’s Award, and Edwin C. Bearss Lifetime Achievement Award.
Space will be limited, and pre-registration is required. Watch for an email with more details about all of these exciting events, including how to register, coming early next week.
