A Civil War Conference:
Confederate Icons: History, Memory, and the Future of Our Past

Saturday, July 28, 2018, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
James Madison University,
Harrisonburg, Virginia

This conference will focus on the history of Confederate icons such as monuments and the battle flag – and how their use, meaning, and cultural acceptance have changed over the years.

Conference speakers will include historians Christy S. Coleman, John M. Coski, Caroline E. Janney, James I. “Bud” Robertson, Jr., and Keven M. Walker.  For more about our speakers, click here.

Cost: $27 for members; $30 for non-members.  Registration includes lunch from the JMU Cafeteria.
