Volunteering is a great way to contribute to the vital work of the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation.  The SVBF offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities – ways that you can make a difference in our fight to preserve the Valley's historic landscapes. 

Volunteer Opportunities

SVBF Property Care-Keeper
Perform basic monitoring, stewardship, and management activities on SVBF fee-owned lands to assist in restoring Civil War battlefields.

Courthouse Researcher
Conduct land records research at courthouse clerk offices throughout the Shenandoah Valley and provide SVBF staff with needed documents.

Office Assistant
Provide assistance to SVBF staff by filing, scanning, copying, and performing other light office duties.

Special Events/Exhibit Assistant
Assist SVBF staff in set-up, take down, and staffing of various exhibits at shows, fairs, and other events.

Assist our communications office with publications and media relations activities, such as writing, photography, and graphic design.
