Life on the Homefront
Tuesday June 05, 2012
Living history interpreters will tell visitors about domestic life, including schooling, domestic chores, politics, foods, and entertainment common to this area in 1862. Quilts that would have been used in the Warren-Sipe house during the time of the War will be on display. And the Civil War Gallery will tell its story of The Women Who Stayed Behind and how they used their domestic skills, especially needlework, to assist in the war effort.
