Children's Photo Contest

The Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation is calling on all aspiring young photographers to go out and capture the history and beauty of the Shenandoah Valley.

In 1862, troops under Stonewall Jackson earned the nickname the “Foot Cavalry” because of how fast and how far they could march. Now, in 2012, you can follow in the footsteps of those soldiers by joining the Valley Voyager’s “Foot Cavalry” passport program and visiting the historic sites where they marched and fought 150 years ago.
